What You Do - Help tell medical personnel in your local community that the online free Blood Registry exists. Maybe help them save a life someday. Also tell local companies about the online Blood Registry – encourage them to have their employees register. The same with local service organizations like Rotary and Kiwanis – local religious organizations of any denomination. NO Technical Knowledge Needed - the computer software that permits person-to-person matching of Blood Donors to Blood Recipients is simple – you don’t need any complex computer skills. You don’t do any matching – the web servers/data bases do the matches. Everything is done online. There is no cost to help. However, you need access to a computer and an Internet connection. Today the data base of potential donors is nation-wide – first organized by the three main geographical areas – Mindanao – Visayas – Luzon. But as the Blood Registry begins growing - it will be faster for someone needing FRESH blood – to search by specific cities (example: Manila, Davao, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, and so forth. That’s where your volunteer help is needed. We will initially be adding Data Base Folders for four metros: Davao/Cebu/Cagayan de Oro/Manila. All donor registrants from those areas will be found in those metro folders.
